A Step Back in Time

A few years into my teaching, it was suggested to record myself in class, so I could hear how I sounded and adjust from there. Like the practice itself. Self-exploration.

I’ve had this recording ever since, so I’m sharing it as a way to feel like you’re still in a class while you practice at home. I didn’t record it with sharing in mind, but it’s a quick way to get something to you while the studios are on hiatus.

You’ll notice talk at the beginning about sitting on props. Find things at home if you don’t have yoga props. Folded blankets work well. If you don’t have a bolster, a couple of blankets folded on top of each other may be able to give you similar support. Get creative.

It’s interesting to hear the similarities and differences in the way I teach now.

I hope you feel supported by community through this. I also hope you giggle a few times.

Let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Is there anything you want/need?

I look forward to practicing with you in whatever capacity we can,

Alissa

PS my last post was a very short meditation to bring you back home

And I have Yoga Nidra recording under Shop or another blog
